9 - Drama Queen
Freshman year in high school was a trip. Already a bookworm, Porcelain was ready to buckle down and dig in to her new classes. She wasn't exactly a socialite because she was shy. All of that changed when she met her new group of people. They weren't the popular kids. No, rather they also avoided sun, like her. Porcelain fit right in with this Goth crowd. They understood her and she loved their attitude of not caring what other people thought. She had found her tribe! Gothic kids had a bad rap in the 90's. Goth attire was banned at Porcelain's high school, though kids still found a way to express their style. They just had to get inventive! A lot of the gothic kids were in the Drama and Art clubs. That was all right up her alley. Porcelain loved to sketch and paint, as well as memorize every Shakespeare play she could get her hands on. She became a queen of the stage by Sophomore year, finding her voice and confidence with this new crowd. ...
